Team Premier Attended The Music City Smackdown in Nashville
Premier Martial Arts competition team attended the Music City Smackdown hosted by PROMAC in Nashville, TN last weekend. This was a great event that drew competitors from all over the nation!
Our students competed in traditional events such as Kumite, Kata, and Weapons Kata. Along with non-traditional events such as: Continuous Sparring, Creative Forms, Padded Sword Sparring, Flag Sparring, and Krav Maga Self-Defense divisions.
This was a fun and exciting event as it was the first national tournament for some of our competitors! All of our members faired well and placed in multiple events! A special call out to: Miss Roach, and Mr Olson who both swept their divisions with all First Place Finishes!
The children’s divisions were especially large and competitive with lots of great young talent! Our kids held their own and despite the competitive environment placed in almost every event!

Premier Martial Arts Fort Wayne founded in 2015 by 6th Degree Black Belt and Master Instructor Ron Kuhn. Master Kuhn had a distinguished management & engineering career working for such companies as Verizon, NIPSCO, Frontier Communications and Mediacom. In 2019 he made the decision to operate his Martial Arts School fulltime which has always been his lifelong dream. That one location has grown to three in the City of Fort Wayne.
Master Ron Kuhn is married to his wife Anita (retired Special Needs Teacher) of 27 years. They have three wonderful daughters, Jordan, Ally and Katie. Jordan is a nurse who lives in Indianapolis. Ally has a computer science and business background and works with her dad at Premier Martial Arts. Katie is Chemical Engineering graduate and works in the pharmaceutical industry in Indianapolis.
